Food

Our food is a healthful approach to ultra-satisfying food. We focus on whole grain bowls that utilize a blend of grains which will fill you up without weighing you down. To complement the grains, we fill our bowls with rich, flavorful meats and veggies, house made pickles and fresh herbs. We also offer sides created with tasty, locally sourced ingredients that un-coincidentally accompany the bowls. Together, they’re a match made in heaven. If you don’t believe us, try the pickled red onion rings with the Robertson Short Rib.

Our grain mix is special. It’s the main component that sets our bowls apart. We use a mixture of ancient grains including farro, barley and spelt coupled with harder wheat berries and rye. In more recent times, standard practice calls for discarding the hard exterior of the grain and pulverizing what is left - producing all-purpose flour that can last for months. Processing grains like this strips them of their flavor and nutrients in favor of a longer shelf life. We don’t mess with that. The high fiber content provided by our unique mix of grains is great for your health and it provides longer lasting fullness. We love whole grains for their nutritional value, but that's not all. These grains taste great. One spoonful of the Pico House grain mix, and you'll be hooked!

Drawing roots from various chilis and peppers, this bowl definitely has some bite to back up its bark. Pasilla peppers and broccoli make up the puree, while house-cured beef bacon sit above the whole grains. Sauteed broccoli stems and swiss chard add savory veggies while the pickled red onion and tomato chutney cut through the short rib.

Featuring a carrot puree, this bowl boasts harissa roasted lamb that we sautee with onions and peppers. On top, it has a minty tomato and cucumber salad coated in a red wine vinaigrette that your Greek uncle would be proud of. Well, not really, we use goat cheese instead of feta, but we promise it’s still delicious.

This bowl is creamy, unctuous and bright all at the same time. A chickpea and coconut curry puree packs some heat lies underneath. Topping our grain mix is a Thai inspired meatball made of half chicken, half pork and all love. The bowl is finished with a cucumber salad, pickled red cabbage, honey roasted peanuts and a fish sauce vinaigrette.

This fiery bowl draws its inspiration straight from Korea. The puree features daikon, shungiku and a touch of garlic confit which provides nice bed for our grain mix to rest on. Next, gochujang braised pork shoulder that is both sweet and spicy sits underneath a purple kale salad featuring pickled daikon, red onions and cabbage all tossed in a sesame vinaigrette.
